I spent some time working on a second edit of some of my photographs in my Lightroom library. I find that it is important to go over my images after some time has passed. This image was had been taken around six months ago. Sometimes I go back over images that are several years old. Reviewing my images a second time and making new adjustments is important to me for two reasons.
First, there are images that I miss on my first pass. There are images that I do not select during my first edit. Having that perspective of time allows me greater objectivity when selecting images.
Also revisiting images a second time after months have passed allows me to work on a set of photographs with more patience, and more subtlety than I may have when I first was working on the images after the project. I am also able to exercise the improvements I have made in my technique and editing photographs. Very early photographs in my portfolio. The passage of time has improved my ability to make clean photographic adjustments.
Take some time to go over your Lightroom collection and look over images that you might have passed by from six months or a year ago. I have recently discovered several images that I am converting to black-and-white photographs that I had previously not used.
