West Maui looking out to Molokai
While living in Maui I learned that there are many locations that are not accessible to the public. Many of the areas in Maui are private land, fortunately, people have access to a lot of the beach area.
This open area we are in this photograph looks out toward another island in the Hawaiian island chain. I noticed that I preferred the perspective of the other islands not from the beach on Maui but from the hillsides. After gaining some elevation the nearby Island seems to look much larger and more features aren’t visible from a higher angle.
