A few Sundays back, I was in Corvallis on a drive.  This photo was taken at a viewpoint on the north end of town.  

Earlier this May I was driving back into Eugene from a weekend out in the cascades. The storm broke and this very vivid rainbow appeared on the East end of the city.     

I think the shapes that ripples etties and currents make in water are really interesting. This is a photo from the upper Willamette River in early May. 

Out on a desert road east of Paisely shooting old pop cans with this revolver.

 I have not updated my current photo in a long time, I think my last photo was from November 2012. This was shot at 50mm f1.8 with the nikon n80 and 200 speed kodak film.   I am proud of how well this photo turned out.  This was taken on the side of the road out in the country, I stopped to take a photo of the hillside and clouds – I had to wait forever for this little ladybug to make its way to the top of this purple spring flower.  In this photo I really like the mix of saturated Green and Purple, with the small (too small) …

Photo  from this post were taken while  we were out on a rafting trip in southern Oregon over Memorial Day weekend. This rafting trip was great, the standard day trip – Hogs creek to Graves creek. 

My Friend Robert picked up this early 90’s toyota pickup truck a few months back. This was the first time really taking off road. Here is Robert and Tyler hitting one of the larger puddles on this forest service road. 

The photos in this post are from a trip a few weeks back. For this trip to the Toketee Falls and hot springs, I shot almost exclusively with a Nikon N80 and a roll of 100 speed Kodak ektar film.  Most of these shots are just casual camp photos of me and my friends, but it is a huge interest of mine to photograph a campaign with this style. Call me Poler.     

I like the contrast between the stark metal and glass modernism expressed in the building, and the reflection of old oak trees . 

I photographed Watson falls with 100 speed kodak ektar film. Interesting film – I talk about film photography a lot but I have very little experience with different film stock. I am a complete novice when it comes to that.  Watson falls carries an intense amount of power.  Even at this distance, the spray and wind are very present. Notice the water droplets on the front of the lens.    

I built this bike back in college. Parts and pieces from other old bikes put to new use on this old bike.  

  I took this photo of Marina’s Pentax while we were traveling through the high desert of eastern Oregon. 

I am really appreciating the contrast and saturation that film images are able to capture.  I know that it varies with film stock, but I think that the image – straight out of the camera – is closer to the final product I am after. This nice little neighborhood south of the UO campus had great evening light.

I’ve been working on a collection of new film photos over the past month. This image was made with my nikon n80 film camera. An old hand me down from my cousin. This photo is from central Utah near the sego canyon.  The petroglyphs lined the walls of the canyon that we camped in.  it’s interesting to think that I camped in a place that has been used for hundreds of years.   Petroglyphs made by native Americans around 1000 a 500 years ago are right next to carvings made by early white ranchers in the 1800s .
