Happy to have some spring in my life 

This photo was taken while we were building a recording studio in an old cabin, one of the most fun projects I got to work on. Here is Scott playing a tune on his Martin.

I’ll tell kids in the future – I used to go to raves before raves were cool!   Probably won’t be true – raves have always been cool – or sketchy, they can be sketchy too.  

Woke up early to photograph the sunshine on this amazing high desert landscape 

I woke up pretty early from our camp high in the Tetons.  Really amazing mountains.  

Nothing like being in the wilderness. 

This image from horseshoe lake in eastern Oregon was one I had overlooked until now.  Really like the passing cloud tick to the top of the rim rock

2 more photos from the Wallowa mountains.   Top- The glacial snow melt from the mountains flowed from the mountain lake down to the watershed below, some of the clearest coldest natural water I have seen.  Bottom- Marina using an old pentax to capture the natural beauty of the wallowa mountains.  

Photographed this multicolored patch of wildflowers while I was backpacking in the wallowa mountains this past summer. nature loves color 

I like the mood and character in this photo, give it up to this guy for wearing an outfit like this in 100 degree heat

This image, made near Death Valley has a desolate look to it that I really like. The image was made in late November of 2012 – short days and cold long nights are what you get  – and bees, angry cold november bees 

  This is an image I took while traveling through the back country of the trinity alps in Northern California. Really beautiful pristine wilderness – at least during the season I was able to go – The only human in the area.  This impressionistic image was made of plants growing in the marshy meadow near the creek.

This image from the Alabama Hills looks out from our campsite just after sunrise. Really beautiful morning light. 

The Sierra Nevada mountain range is a stunning sight. This image was made just after Thanksgiving 2012. I was camped along the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine California with Marina.  I don’t spend enough time working in my Lightroom catalog. I have a process of going through my newly imported photographs. I only select a small handful of images to edit, print and post. This image, for some reason, just never made the cut. Looking …

Many of the photographs that I take are never posted anywhere. This image was made from the parking lot of the Lost Coast parking lot last fall. October 2012 was a really creative time for me. Not much has made me happier, and more fulfilled than travelling through the wild, natural places of the world. Early October was spent traveling the coast of southern Oregon and Northern California. I spent almost a week camped here …

This photograph was taken with my old SLR film camera while I was backpacking through the Mount Hood National forest. I think it has a nice feel to it, the mountain center in the frame, the small bit of campfire in the tree line, and the soft warm light after a summer sunset. All of this seems like a world away now that it is December. 

Traveling through the mountain roads north of the Mckenzie river in the foothills of the cascades.   

This image was made almost 1 year ago when I returned home from my 100 day trip through the west coast. It rarely snows in southern Oregon, and when it does, it never lasts for long. Have to give it up to my family for putting so much in to the holidays.  

Guano Valley Today I thought that I should post a photo from this past May.  This image of my Grandpa and Dad was shot in eastern Oregon, south of a small town called Plush near Hart Mountain and the Warner valley.  The photo above was made while we were out on a hike through the sagebrush near an old dry lake bed Indians once camped at.
