These extra thick oversize trash bags are incredibly durable. We’ve used them for everything from emergency rain ponchos to gain bags to ground cloth under our tents and sleeping bags. Stash one in the bottom of your backpack. 

Zip ties. 

Throw half a dozen 8-inch plastic zip ties in your survival kit they’re small strong and have a multitude of attachment and repair uses. 

Cam straps. 

These fastening straps are made out of high strength nylon or polyester wedding tipped with a locking spring-loaded buckle. The most popular uses for securely strapping down frames to white water raft that we’ve used ones with Lanks varying between one and 20 feet as makeshift belts for our pants, Keeping coolers from shifting around in the back of a pickup, strapping elk quarters to a backpack and hanging them in trees, and as stringers for big fish like salmon.
