Wallowa Mountains Lake At Sunset

Wallowa Mountains Lake At Sunset

The Wallowa Mountains are a stunning place to spend some time in the outdoors. This was the view from the lake at sunset toward the glacially formed peaks.
This image from horseshoe Lake was captured on a backpacking trip in the lower mountains. I had created a few variations of this image while I worked on the lake photographing a Wallowa Lake At Sunset. I worked at this location for about three days during the early mornings and the evening sunsets.

This image was captured on the Nikon FG 20 film camera with a 28 mm lens. The 28 mm lens is an old manual focus lens that I bought at a thrift store. The lens has light leaks and at some f-stops, the exposure has bright spots captured in the corners. I found that out for certain during this trip while I was working on this roll of film. A few of the exposures that I captured were blown out due to light leaks from the lens.

In the morning shooting the Wallowa lake with the digital equipment.

That location in the Wallowa mountains takes around 10 miles of hiking to get to. We packed in and stayed at this lake area for around five days. The glacial reformed mountain tops and the snowmelt lakes are good to photograph.
