Doughnut
For me, there is nothing better than a fresh doughnut. I grabbed this shot of the process at the local farmers market. The farmers market located in southern Oregon is a staple of Saturday mornings. I travel down to the market mid-morning on an October Saturday. This stand makes fresh fried old-fashioned donuts every Saturday.
This image was his image was captured on a frame Fujifilm 400 speed film. I like how this frame turned out. I like that dynamic range in the photo. The film has a crisp look to it. It has a lot of contrast and texture that I am missing in some digital frames. The representation of color is also more interesting. This photograph was captured on the Nikon FG 20 film camera.

I was conscious before taking the frame that the donut would flip and fall into the frying oil. To capture this motion I wanted to use a high shutter speed. So I adjusted my shutter speed to something above 250th of a second. Then I anticipated that time of the donut flip. I was able to capture this image of the frying process.
