early panoramic image I worked on at Crater lake
This photograph of Crater Lake was taken after a day of waiting in the park. I sat and waited for hours reading a book and then I went on a hike out to a spot to find the right location to fit the landscape photo I wanted to make.
A part of landscape photography that I really like is the amount of time waiting in a location to get the right moment. I was near this location a few hours before I shot these photographs. Trying to sketch out a good spot for me to wait for the right light. I often try to wait for a time of day just after the sun has set and there is still illumination in the sky above.
An early panoramic image I worked on at Crater lake during a solo trip I was on for about 2 weeks in 2012. I would read a lot about photography and composition during the day and try and practice some of the ideas I learned that evening while the light
