Capturing photographs in Maui had good and bad parts to it. During this photograph, a more tranquil moment. I traveled to a hillside in West Maui to walk around in the early evening and photograph landscapes. I like this image showing a dirt road stretching off toward the end of the frame and ocean water that extends in the distance.
I was working with the 5D Mark III camera system and a 24 to 70 lens. This camera set up was great for my daily work as a portrait photographer on the beaches in Maui outside of the resorts in Lahaina. The work of creating portrait photographs is not always my first choice. And I often find that the time I spend with landscape photography to be most rewarding
